The Refrigeration Institute is proud to provide our graduates with lifetime career placement assistance. Our placement relationship with our graduates begins before they graduate. As they begin the 2nd half of their training, we work with them to build their resumes and help them start their career planning. Whether they need help finding their first job or the next one they can always feel confident in reaching out to us to help them in their job search.
At The Refrigeration Institute, attendance is a critical part of a student’s learning. Our students have excellent attendance as they are highly motivated to participate in every class. Our classes are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, in the morning from 10 am to 2 pm or in the evening from 6 pm to 10 pm. We understand that emergencies happen and in the case of an emergency, with the Director’s permission, a day student may attend the evening class, or an evening student may attend the day class.
The course is 225 hours of instruction. Our classes are four hours a day, four days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, in the morning from 10 am to 2 pm or in the evening from 6 pm to 10 pm. The course takes about 3 1/2 months to complete, depending on the number of holidays.

At the end of their training, a student should be prepared for an entry level position in the refrigeration and air conditioning field. He or she will have a strong foundation in the principles of refrigeration and electricity and should have the confidence to work on installations, service, troubleshooting, and recovery of typical HVAC systems.
